Strength
training programs come in a large variety
depending upon the individual athlete’s or
fitness enthusiast’s needs and desires.
Strength training programs for the
lower body and
split body (upper and lower body
combined) workouts are the most
traditional. However, whole body functional
workout programs using items such as
sandbags and
other non-traditional implements get
terrific results. A great deal of attention
has recently been given to
strength training programs designed around
events for strongest man and strongest woman
contests.
